What should I set my ignition timing to on a pretty standard ts1? Standard stator with no advance/retard.Is 19 deg still ok, or would 17 deg be better?

All depends on assembly factors like compression, pipe and gearing choice, etc. As such, 17 would be my starting point... safe, rather than sorry.
