I'm looking for a replacement piston for a rapido 200 classic and don't want to spend a fortune but want a decent piston as well.

What's the verdict on the SR200 piston as these look great VFM?

Would that be the 3 or 2 ring piston? I can't see the 2 ring in the size that I need.

get a Mahle 3 ring, and leave the bottom ring off.

I've used genuine SR before, can't fault them.

Mahle 2 ring, it's the standard piston for the Rapido classic. AF Rayspeed should stock them.
Harry Barlow rates them, that's good enough recommendation for me.

There should be an "all of the above" option. :-)
I've used two SR pistons and both have been fine, I liked the drawn wire rings most of all. Would also rate the mahle 2ring.

Ha ha yes heads still spinning though it looks like there's no really bad options.

I've heard good things about the Mahle 3 ring pistons too but just wanted an opinion on the SR200 given Mr. B's condemnation!

Without wanting to sound disrespectful to very knowledgable folk/ tuners/ designers, blah blah. If you listened to what Mr.B says about pretty much every product made, nobody would buy anything, TS1,Rapido, Mugello, Monza etc. There's plenty of RT pistons that have failed catastrophically over the years. :o
