I've got a mid 70's Serveta here that has a GP key switch and an Indian LI handle bar switch.

Currently the battery feeds into the junction box and the horn, brake light and t.s. are hot all the time. I'm looking to see of there's a Lammy key switch that will allow me to disconnect the battery when the switch is in the off position. The Serveta still has the wires from the old switch that go from the battery up to headlight block and back down to the junction box.

Another way of saying it is that I'm trying to figure out a switch that will isolate the battery with the key in the off position and allow the horn, brake light and t.s. to work in the #1 position. Effectively I want to run the battery through the key switch and then back down to the junction box. I'm basically looking for a different key switch that would have the above hot in 1st, running lights in 2nd, and head light the 3rd key position

If that makes sense, can someone make a product suggestion?
Thank you !

I´ve been running an indian and a scootRS switch that disconected the battery, but both had failed. I guess that's because those switchs are not good enough for the amount of electricity that runs through them.
Recently, I've done the wassell conversion and bought a scootRS "atomic" switch, but this time I disconect the battery via a 50A relay. It works very well!
Thats more or less the diagram i've used. Hope it can help you:

That's great! Thanks for the schematic. I've purchased what I was told was a "DC" switch but I'd be hard pressed to tell you what the difference is Btwn that and the AC switch I already have. Pepot, you basically confirmed that I need to keep looking.

And then I found this,

Perfect!

Ok. The main difference between a DC and an AC switch is that the DC has a "parking light" position in which you can remove the key letting the pilot lights on. I think that the switch on the link you posted doesen´t fit with what you wanted (isolating the batttery when switching off the key). It isolates the things that are conected to it from the battery, as every switch does, but doesen't isolate the battery itself, what is very useful to avoid it to drain when the scooter is not being used. The sistem I use is in fact like a battery isolator switch, but activated by the key switch. You can use the relay-battery isolator with the ignition switch you already have, it`s easy. Just let me know if you need some advice about how to conect it.
Cheers from Majorca!

There is no need to isolate the battery itself, as there should be no drain on it. If there is, you have a faulty rectifier.

I know that is how it should be...the diodes inside the rectifier should isolate the battery, but always had problems when not using the scooter for a long time (that was before the wassel), so I decided isolating the battery aniway.
