Just a quicky, can the 60 x 110 BGM crank be fitted without any machining of the casing?

The ones I've fitted have gone straight in.
I had to remove some of the casing where the con rod at the big end bearing
was catching. I used a flap wheel to remove the excess, can't remember the grade used.
But a very simple job.

And that's what I was afraid of!ove wrote:I had to remove some of the casing where the con rod at the big end bearing

Don't be afraid its easy to do. You've already got your mag flange off just tape over the drive side if you've still got the bearing in, attach the flap wheel to your drill and flap away. I brought a cheap wheel from Wilkinsons so not expensive.
But like others have said you might not have to. Oh and mine was a Spanish 150 casing if that makes any difference.
Cheers ove.

Think I'd rather attack the case than the crankfastfrog wrote:or dremel the big end part of the conrod! use teflon tape between conrod and webs to avoid metal flakes to come in..
