Copper with a suppressor cap. Silicon has a resistance which varies with length. Could result in a weak spark if used with a suppressor cap.

currently using copper core but did not know if there was anything better as the same bit has been on for nearly 15 years , technology has not moved on in the H T lead world then

You're obviously not familiar with the new Quantum Discharge Unit in which the spark is invisibly relayed to the plug on a quantum level miraculously appearing in your spark plug and therefore doing away with the need for a physical connection of any kind.

have they solved that problem with QDU units yet?

Very occaisionally the "bluetooth" element in the system would lock on to other spark discharge systems ("SDS") resulting in misfires.

Has this been cured?
