BGM Stators

A mate had a stator failure while at Hayling Island, no problem I said go and get a new BGM stator from the parts fair, came back saying he couldn`t get a BGM one, a couple of dealers had also told him there had been a few failures with BGM stators lately, and one of them sold him a SIL stator by AF which we fitted and was fine. Has there been any problems with BGM stators, I haven`t heard of any, I would have thought that if there has been a run of failures with these stators it would have been on this forum or the "other" forum. I have yet to replace any BGM`s.

All too often it is a convenient sales patter to discredit someone else's product in an effort to sell the one you have in stock

Had 2 fail on me , rewire sil stator came to the rescue both times , I only changed to BGM as they were reputed to be like vespa stators fit and forget.
