This weekends woes!

GT186 missing a beat at low revs, smoke out of exhaust, smells of burning oil, oil seal me thinks! but there was also a strange rumble?
On closer inspection after strip down, my drive side bearing has a lot of play on inner track, I'm thinking the bearing has gone and caused the seal to leak, but not having a new bearing to compare the play, I cant be sure?

bugger Dave I did notice as I came past you at one point today that it seemed to be almost sounding like it was running rich and it looked like it cleared as you got up the rev range, must have been before you had proper trouble though.

Was it definitely acrid smoke, blue etc? otherwise would have been a problem with unburnt petrol flowing past worn / cracked / damaged reed petals?

As for play in the drive bearing there shouldn't really be any mate, should spin freely with no notchiness, rumbles or grittiness

I was having trouble accelerating, very smokey, also noticed a grumbling noise, only 350mls of oil came out of the gearbox when drained. Checked reeds they all ok.
