GP 200 recent AF Rayspeed refurb. Stopped out on the road and won't start. Well it will of I clean plug it back on. Kicks over 1st time runs for 3 or 4 seconds then stops again. Won't start until plug out dried off same scenario. What is the problem???

Float stuck? Try taking the bowl off and make sure its free and shutting off the fuel? Might be worth a try.

New plug or hotter plug.

Is there fuel in the carb? (blocked tap, long reserve, etc)

Have you tried taking the 2nd green (from the loom) off of the CDI, so bypassing any issues that you might have with the ignition switch, etc.

Different plug?

.... good luck.

Well the good news is you've got a genuine Lambretta (breakdown after 15 miles ticks all the boxes) ;)

I'd be edging towards the stator but your options are endless.........keep us posted

There is a spark initially may be CDI breaking down.

^... yep, Indian LT coil breaking down would be my first point of call for any electrical issue. It could just as likely be pickup, poor stator build + vibration issue, CDI failure, ignition switch failuer, etc.... although LT coil is normally a good bet.

vRSG60 let us know how you get on and good luck getting this resolved asap.

And the correct answer is

CDI unit. Swapped the one off my Li and it stated 1st kick like a good in. Earth wire looked in a bit if a state.

Only £10 aren't they I'll get one ordered tomorrow.
