New BGM dampers

so what are they like?

I mean the slimline ones that MB are selling at £95.17?

I'm seriously interested although MB have 'done' one of my hates -it's PLUS vat!

So £114 then.
Not an issue but since the vast majority of business on these will be direct to consumers who have no choice over paying the 20% extra, it's not £95.17 anyway IMHO.
When we had the army surplus store some years back we got a right bo**ocking for listing stuff like that, maybe, just maybe it's a reaction to the new EU directive on harmonised vat allocation but I don't think so!

Anyway -what are the dampers like?

Advertising goods with the price separate from the VAT is (I think) actually illegal if the advert is primarily aimed at non-trade customers

no idea what the dampers are like, but my pet hate is also VAT related, at a car breakers recently for bit to fix my car, bloke says £20 ok, thats not too bad, then says oh that plus the vat, how the hell can it be plus the vat for a part from a private car thats 14 years old and broken up??

THIS IS FROM THE MAIN MAN HIMSELF..
Its totally legal it how you should do it but no one does, it also allows for varying postage rates around the UK and the world, plus we have a lot of foriegn customers who dont pay vat. The brits need to get used to a part is priced at retail + vat

Thanks for the clarification mickjr I thought that could possibly be the case and in no way was this an anti-MB thread-in fact I asked what others opinions were of the product, although thought it fair to point out it was plus vat as the ad I saw made no mention of it -just trying to be helpful.
Quite obviously like most on this forum I have spent shed loads of cash on MB products and am always interested in buying more when new products come out.

Hopefully all other dealers will do the same then we will all know what the price is without having to check.

Anyway -WHAT ARE THE DAMPERS LIKE THEN ANYONE?

They're new in so I doubt that anyone has experience of them yet. Guineau pigs are always required though.

I tend to buy my bgm stuff direct from scooter centre. I just bought an untainted mk2 clubman, inc shipping it cost me £192, compare this with £235 plus postage from mbd. Saved myself the best part of £50 and it was here 2 days later.

Slightly off topic but any invoice raised attracts vat. I think its because he sells a lot of stuff abroad that it's marked up like that. Tis annoying what's wrong with good old cash....lol..
