Ok so I have got a serries 3 li 125, I also have a std t5.
I want to use the li at simalr road speeds as the t5(sit at 55-60 mph and top out about 65)
But unlike the t5 I want to do it a lower revs with higher gearing and still be ok up the hills and into headwinds.
So what are the best options to acheve this.
Scooter has a std li 125 box in it at the moment, electronic ignition a 22mm carb, 150 top end and ancillotti pipe
So what would be the best kit, carb, gear box and exhaust set up to acheve this, bearing in mind I want to keep the scoot looking std.
Cheers mike

I had a Casa 185 on a 125 box with a 17 front sprocket. Pulled like a train but wont do a lot more than the 65 aim but will do 60 all day long. it was designed to run everything else as standard
Irun the following in my series 3 Li 125:
22mm Jetex carb, 123main, standard airboix
Indian big bore exhaust (tried Sito Ancillotti but power came in too high)
Li 125 gearbox, 17x47 sprockets
Scooter Restorations alloy 175 (ports all cleaned up) barrell & head with 62mm Asso piston
Runs great, flat out is around 65 with high 50's/60mph all day, up hill, head winds etc.,really good on fuel.

Thanks for the info lads, casa and the sr sound like they will deliver the results I req.
There are plenty off kits out there but it's good to know how they perform in the real world
Keep them coming the more info the better.
Cheers mike

All Kits have pro's and cons some are faster some you need to do a lot of work to them to get them to perform. The Casa was designed to be a strait cylinder swap and be strait out of the box. I found it did everything as described on the tin. It was very reliable with a box pipe and a simple 22mm carb. good Perol miles. In theory no crank changes but its a worthwhile upgrade.

I rode with a mate on the C2C who usually rides a Rally 200, but brought his mugello 186 LI this time, with 25mm phbl carb and ancillotti , varitronic , mec crank, he said it was great to ride , and kept up with the everyone else no probs (li 125 gears , 18 /47) another clubmate has the GT 186, and loves that , 25 and a clubman on it, and if it goes bang, is cheaper to fix than a plated barrel. or a sorted cast iron 175 , 28mm delly and a decent 2nd hand pipe, get a good crank with the change.
