Plug oiling in traffic

More woes, ride to Blackpool yesterday but when stuck in traffic the plug is getting sooty/oily. It's fine at high revs. If it stalls it's a bugger to get going, I whip the plug out and change it with the old one (clean).
I had a Champion N2C and changed to a NGK B7ES (closest the motor factors had).
Will trying to lean off the with the idle screw make much difference? I had a 48 idle jet and bought a 45 jet. I can't for the life of me remember if I replaced the idle when I replaced the 128 main jet with a 123.
I run Comma semi synthetic oil at 4%

Just get rid of the sidecar if you're getting stuck in traffic.

What top end is on it? Do you run with a filter?

Have you tried drilling a 1mm hole in the bottom of the air filter elbow? That should allow the accumulated spit back fuel to drip through.
