Sudden bouncy front end

Hello,

Out on the GP for a quick test ride on Sat. Filled up with petrol and when I left the petrol station the front end suddenly seemed to be really bouncy.

Can't work out if I'm going insane or not but definitely more lively on the front end than I remember, unless I'm suddenly being paranoid. Could have been the dodgy road surface, but still seemed bouncier on roads I'm used too unless the paranoia has made me notice every slight twitch now (hate it when that happens) !!!

Definite improvement as I sped up, maybe I never normally ride that slow for as long to notice !!!

Couldn't find anything visibly wrong from the outside, could a spring have snapped or a rubber moved inside the forks?

Anyone else ever experienced similar, if so what was the cause just so I know whether to strip the forks or not?

Cheers.

To be honest if you're not happy with it, I'd be inclined to strip the forks (as its a GP it'll be easier)

A rubber could have come adrift somewhere, or a spring is faulty, but this would IMO have caused a problem just to one side or the other

It'll always be at the back of your mind, and if you suddenly get problems at speed..........................................
