Spotted a lot of oil splash on the rear wheel after the latest outing at Three Sisters with the Scooterotica tuned RB.

I had spotted it previously so I think I should have acted sooner.... it was a bit soggy in there...

Is it worth cleaning and heating the the shoes to burn off the oil?

use plenty of brake cleaner or celly thinners, I have a leak through a rear bearing on my old Marcos, fix it every summer and it is leaking again my the next mot. It's been doing that since 2003 and I'm still using the same shoes, the oil doesn't soak in, just rough them up a bit with some coarse sand paper to remove any glaze. On the other hand, they are cheap enough to replace on a lambretta although getting a new set to bed in is always a pain
