hi all, let's start with a run down of what I'm running, I have a 1962 S3 Li125 frame completely rebuilt from scratch that I have made into a Special with drop bars, with a 1963 engine with a 200cc conversion, she has 47/18 drive train, SX150 gearbox, 5 plate-10 spring clutch, plus all the usual bits and bobs-Teflon chain guide etc, carb is a Dellorto PBHL 22 BS with MB Manifold, Jetting as follows: AQ264, D22 2nd Clip, 40 Slide, 115 Mainjet, 50 Starter jet, 60 Choke. 42mm Big Bore Exhaust.

I sprayed it black and gold, I will post pics later, she's gone through lots of part changes over the last 2yrs, lots of parts not fitting so had to alter or parts not working at all ie; 4 ignition switches, 3 light switches, I had major kickstart probs went through 3, one snapped at the splined end!! Then had ignition probs, slowly got worse and worse, used to start her up 1st kick until wouldn't start at all.

Coaster came over and found that the LT coil was failing, then I had a nightmare time with the flywheel nut that I had inadvertently over tightened and had rounded off the nut flats ( ) eventually got it off through tapping with centre punch and special socket. Decided that I would change the whole ignition system for BGM 120w Stator, Regulator and CDI Unit, replaced flywheel with new SIL one, put a manual choke on - so fed up trying to get cable one to work correctly and she started 1st kick... hurrah, I haven't even run the engine in yet, took her for a run for the 1st time and did 7 whole miles without breaking down :D

Took her up to 55 Lambretta MPH  but she smoked a lot! But it was only after I put 5ltrs of fresh fuel in with 150ml of SIP fully synthetic 2-stroke oil that this happened, hopefully she will settle down as Coaster suggested and then can look at jetting etc. It was so nice to actually have a proper ride on her, gonna take her out tomorrow hopefully, its been a real stressful build and expensive to boot, parts replacement, altering bits, parts failing, all trying to build whilst looking after my two babies, I'm already thinking about another one to build but having it as a strip-down (I know - ain't got this one running properly yet  )
