Welcome to the kheper's world eden! 8-)
This software version requires you set your static timing at the higher point wanted. For instance if you choose 29° at 3000 rpm you'll probably need to modify a bit your stator plate. A close to come upgrading will free your mind and hands from this labor....

So will the new CDI unit hold more than one curve, so you can easily compare curves at the flick of a switch, or does it need to be re-programmed for each and every curve you design?

Not sure the cdi holds itself different curves. They are stocked in your computer and loaded by wire....

I asked the question because the Chiselspeed box holds 16 curves, and you can switch from one to the next at the turn of a screw-driver. Whilst you cannot design and upload a curve onto the Chisel speed box, with 16 curves you should find one that is close-enough.

It would just be nice to have more than one curve in the box, so you can easily compare two curves without resorting to your laptop. In fact, it would be possible to have one for town use, and one for motorway use, at the flick of a switch on the handlebars.

Hang-on a moment, I'm getting carried away.

Don't mis-understand me FF, I like the look of the Kheper box. It is a far more accessible programmeable box than the one that Charlie Edmonds is selling for much more money, but I thought I would ask the question. I'm tempted.
