i have seen on another site that some of the later scootrs pull through valves are failing one of the valves on one of mine was damaged when i bought it, looked like it had been yanked into place so im now fitting bike it ones to all the ones i do no failures with these to date just ease them in with some washing up liquid if you want to change to bike it deemon tweeks sell them.

I purchased a pair of rims from scoot RS about a month ago. Both valves leak!

I'm going to send an email to ask them to replace the valves. I hope the replacement fits easy?

get the bike it ones there only about £3 or £4 each they are better quality if you live local and are struggling to fit pop round ive done loads

wouldnt a local tyre dealer have a tool to pull valves in, have watched them replacing valves on car tyres. might work and better than knackin a new valve.

they would be able to do them .i do my own as you can ease them in slowly and carefully as they are awkward and a tight fit .On new ones i prep the rims fit the tyres paint them then fit the valves.On my own i seam weld the center section of the rim in.2 years ago picked a nail up going to iow 2 up with 4 stone luggage didnt even realise until i saw the puncture seal hanging off the mudflap ,i had put half the bottle in so did the last 60 miles with the nail in only dropped 5 psi .it went down when i pulled the nail out which had put a 5mm gash in the tyre.Hope this makes you all feel a bit more confident about them .If your taking the old tyres off cut them off with a large hacksaw to the bead and then cut the bead with an angle grinder but place the bead in the center of the rim so you dont catch the rim lip.
