My son is about to turn 16 and I have his brothers piaggio nrg power 50cc lc sitting in the shed ready to go for him . But it is abit fast for him to start with. Revving to 11000 and topping out at 50-55 mph on a good day. It has got a standard carb up jetted to a 65 main an arrow exhaust 4.5 gram and 5 gram rollers. so would like to slow it down if possible to a 35-40 mph . Do I want to fit larger rollers or a bigger main jet . 7.5 rollers kill it . Any help would be good thanks col
At a guess you'd need either 5.3 or 6.4 rollers depending on the year,
To restrict it you can tack a washer in the exhaust down pipe, start with a small hole and try out for the speed, open it up a little if it's to slow.
It would have been upjetted when the exhaust was fitted, I think the standard would have been about 58 - 60
