varitronic difference between ultimate & normal

Hi, As subject says, whats the difference between ultimate & normal varitronic. I've read its strengthened (how ?) is anything else done ?

The flywheel and boss are also welded with a special rod because they are made from different metals. IMHO this is highly advisable on Varitronics used on anything revvy or that produces much over 22hp.

Last one I had, only the rivets looked like they had a tig torch near them.

Did you take the fan off Jase - one's we've had have also had beads of weld from flywheel to boss on 4 points around the flywheel but it's hidden by the fan. Could be different on the new type though.

OK cool, cheers for that, so basically if I get my flywheel welded it becomes the ultimate, nice one cheers again Dom.
