So, on the closed thread it was quoted that a new one is 495? Can anyone tell me who sells them please as I'm planning to get one April / May?

I don't think any are being made now. I think that price quoted was for a proper one when they were still available.

Be nice to see them being made again. I think he'd sell a few.

The design's been copied a few times, not least the JL3/4, but that seems to be more acceptable than ones made in the Far East.

My pal on here Tavspeed got one of the last batch of official MK4's. That was made by Simon Brace - B-Race Tuning I think. On Simon's website a couple of years back he was doing Taffpseed retro pipes with mechanical mufflers. They looked a bit like a DJ/Mikeck. Another mate has had a MK4 on for more than 10 years now, it gets plenty of use on a proper rally going mile eating machine pulling SX gearing easily on a TS1. It's still going strong and is as solid as ever...that's got to be the main difference I think, in how long the Saigon Taffy's last for. They do look the biz though nice and chunky : )

Ive already had one of the far east ones and without being too derogatory about them, would rather shell out for a proper one :-/

I remember that they were being remade in batches at one point about 4 years ago and was hoping they were still being made to be honest.

There was a genuine mk4 on one of the FB Lambretta for sale groups a few days back at £260 I think.
