Experimenting with Front Suspension

I have a place local to me who can make me suspension springs in any strength, length and colour so I want to experiment with a front end set up that does away with the need for internal springs. I have some adjustable suspension units that I think will work but wanted to pick the engineering brains on here before I pull them apart.

Can anyone advise the spring loading I should be aiming for for a Lambretta front end?

Also can someone confirm the length of standard dampers from eye to eye.

Thanks

Tommy

my outboard shockers are 80lb springs, I would personally like a little softer, but thats just me

If you use the standard front shock mounting points these will not be strong enough to support external shockers

Thanks Tony that gives me something to work with.

Cheers Shocky yes will be removing the original damper brackets and getting a stronger fixing welded on
