Ok loads to choose from: Is the selector arm moving without hindrance ? If it's not in the correct position on the splines it won't be able to travel all the way into the top gears. I also had a problem with the wishbone catching on a new set of casings which might have caused a similar problem if i hadn't noticed it. Can you get into 3rd without the engine running and by "rocking" it ? Not trapped a gear cable on the shocker bolt ?

Also check the clutch arm isnt too far back and stopping gear linkage from moving and that youre not actually selecting 2nd and 3rd and cant get 4th for the aforementioned problem. Hope that makes sense! Weve all done it lol
