Crispin, You didn't mention the number of the atomiser (big brass bit the needle slides in and out of). With an X7 needle already on top clip (which should be lean already at mid throttle) I suggest you might have the wrong type of atomiser fitted. :?

try av268 with the x7 on mid clip or x13 needle with av266 mid clip

mine is , Malossi 172, JL pipe, 28mm delly, av266, x2 top notch, 130 main, 40 slide, 70 choke , 55 pilot, mixture 2 turns out , 350 float needle jet, frame bellows fitted. starts first kick and runs clean except at below quarter tank when it splutters a bit at highish revs. SIP fast flow tap fitted as well.

the plug pic needs to show the base of the porcelain to see the colour
the plug porcelain looks very clean that suggests the grade might be too low ? what is the plug number ? 7

a miles not a lot is it? give it a few mile . I don't like doing plug chops on fully synth oil either , as the plug doesn't colour up very well imo. I'm using Br9ex1 iridium spark plugs in all scoots now, cant fault them.
