Whilst changing the tyre on my rear hub I have stripped a couple of threads on the rear hub. I have been able to get the old studs out. Is there any issues of replacing these studs with an M8 bolt of suitable length.?

Cheers Bruce

I don't think stainless is a good idea for studs, would rather use a grade 12.5 high tensile cap screw. A metal the can work harden is not a good idea for that application.
