Cross hatching

having used a 3legged glaze buster on the barrel to take some light score marks out I have then checked the rings down the bore
from top to bottom with correct ring clearance, i shone a light down the bore at the same time just to see if there was any light
between ring and bore but all is ok so what do I use to cross hatch the bore of the cylinder,

240 grit sandpaper would suffice

i watched harry barlow cross hatch my cylinder with the honing tool, had a go myself after on a old barral he had couldnt do it, must be a art

there is a knack to it to be sure ...but its not rocket science ...simply an up and down and twisting motion .

Yep and don t stop until the task is completed :lol: :lol: mmmmmm wonder where that saying QUICK OFF THE WRIST came from :lol:
