I really like fork gaiters for front dampers but I have Escort Dampers fitted. These are Indian made aren't they and as such the gaiters sold by SR wont fit?

Can anyone confirm this or advise of a set that will fit?

Dont worry i phoned them up and asked and it looks like they wont fit

only ones i have seen fit the thinner sebac dampers, never seen any which fit escort dampers

I have an old pair bought from Allstyles some years ago. I'll try them on my escorts dampers and report back tomorrow as they were too loose for slim dampers.

I bought some from Scooter Restorations and put them on Escort dampers. This explains why they were so hard to get on, I thought they were meant to be like that! Soak the gaiters in very hot water, refrigerate the dampers and then grease them, and they go on, but its hard work!

When I spoke to SR they said that it was very close to being able to fit. I didn't want to risk it.

The tightness of the fit has not lead to any damage when they are used?

Tried them. No f****g good, too small. That's a pity cos they are black and I can't fit them to mine either.

What diameter are escort damper as a matter of interest? I don't know what make mine are, they're are indian chrome ones and as the chrome is starting to g I thought of putting some gaiters on, didn't realise there was a fitting problem with them

Or try the classic motorcycle route
