anything i should do ?

Hi , I have just got myself an imola kit and want to know, other than matching the casing and matching the exhaust port to stub is there anything else I should or can do to improve the kit .
my set up is :- 30 phbh
franspeed race
Li 150 box
15/46 cogs (perhaps 15/47 after seeing how it goes)

Not keen on using a stretched chain as the 15 x 47 necessitates, but agree with shortening the gearing and having fun. Mine ran much better with a Mikuni TMX27 over the previous 30mm PHBH.
