I'm looking at poss fittment off one or other now is the extra money with it for the imola . Is the imola more bullet proof , would it run ok for temp time with a sterling pipe and 28 or 30 dellorto carb , until funds are available for a better pipe .

Both are totally different kits,so be sure what you're actually looking for before choosing a kit. The Imola will run fine on a 30mm carb if that helps.Cheers,Speedy.

"Bullet proof", well there's more to go wrong with the imola and you will have to thrash it harder (sorry that should read rev it harder  ) so probably not.

I ran the mugello 198 kit, worked better with 26mm dellorto, had a PM tuning expansion, that also seemed to suit it

it was quick enough and did what I wanted.

the imola kit doesnt seem that much more money, but the added advantages of reedvalve could well be covered by the small cost.

I dont regret buying the mugello, but did wonder about getting a LTH reedvalve etc a few times.

Nothing is bullet proof and nothing is a major problem if set up correctly.
You could throw the MBBGM kit into the mix too. Similar to the Mugello but with a better head that should improve cooling.
As Speedy says they're suited to different styles. For me, if you ride a lot on your own then I'd opt for the Imola but if riding with Sunday selection box Egg run types then the MB kit would be more suitable.
Sterling / scootrs pipe worked well on my Imola.

Would have thought they'll all be much of a muchness. There's a limited number of outlets.
