Wassell DC conversion for a Vespa

Done this conversion for 3 of my Lambrettas and looking at the Vespa 12v electronic stator, seems like I can do the same here as well. I thought I saw a thread some time ago on this site, but can't find it at the moment.
But does anyone else know something different.
Thanks
Paul

I had my Vespa stator rewired to operate like this.
Works a treat with a Wassel regulator / rectifier
I'm not sure what wiring loom changes you'd need as I built mine from scratch. I didn't have indicators either.

just got to the stage where I would like to carry out this conversion, but is it as simple as the Lambretta stator conversion.
So I this conversion is possible and I can't see why, is it the mucky looking white wire on the clockwise coil after the pickup, that I unsolder and connect to the wassel unit and do I leave the thin copper wire earthed, as is?????
Below is the actual PX200 stator.
Thanks

It looks like its the one at 3 o'clock.
At the moment, one end of the string of lighting coils goes up to the regulator and the other is earthed. You have to disconnect the earth and then connect it to the other input of the Wassel.

isn't the main difference between the Ducati Vespa stator and the Lambretta Ducati stator in the actual backplate, wiring should be very similar?

I cut the one that ArmandTanzarian pointed out (at 3 o'clock) and joined a blue wire to it. So that means there are 2 blue power wires and one black to ground. I am using a cheapy ATV/mini bike regulator/rectifier and very happy with it so far.

Full DC electrical system, apart from the ignition. Means you can run LEDs, HID head light, DC fuel pump (eg Facet type), USB chargers etc. I can even run it without a battery! My regulator cost something like $10US.
