Got a bog standard series 2 exhaust that's going on a standard series 2 150 engine. Are there any known modifications that can be done to it to ,ahem, enhance it's performance?

Yes, the most common modification is to throw it in the bin and buy something decent.......hope that helps.

yeah give it to your best enemy and look for a real modified std pipe:
