gear box / final drive ratio recomendations

will be upgrading to a mk2 imola kit , 60/107 crank, mb clubman and a 28 vhst carb. can anyone recomend what gearbox/final drive ratio would be best suited to the rest of the set up. cheers simon

My mk 1 fitted with 58 x 116 crank, TMX27 and scootrs exhaust ran Pacemaker g/box with 5.4 final drive it was great. Changed exhaust to JL3 and gearing to 5.00 and it was less than impressive. The kit is designed to rev high so should be set up with components, ie. gearing and exhaust to reflect this. Anyone running at 5.00 or even less has probably got the wrong kit for their riding style. Swap the Imola for an MB BGM or Mugello kit in that instance.
