Anyone using either an Nk rally or Franspeed tourer on an Li Series 2 with Avanti kit on?
The NK is incredibly tight and stressed in various places, namely touching the stand under the floorboards, and the head cowl below the choke lever/spark plug area, so I didn't really go far on it, so can't comment on performance.
The Franny, which i've borrowed off a mate, performs really well, but again is touching the side casing around the casting just above the kick start 'stop' rubber. Also with the panel on, the 'inside' end can spring fouls on the panel when any weight is loaded on the bike.
My rear shock is of the cheapo Escort variety, and looks to have 310mm centres.
Any ideas or suggestions as to the problem, and/or solution?

^... in my playing with the Avanti I've fitted a Ron Moss Super Clubman, JL3, JL4 (both of these JLs fitted best with finds trimmed slightly, although fitting low profile bolt/nut would have been OK), Micron and now run a Franspeed Supertourer (Avanti version) so there is a range of pipes that will fit. I guess that you'll need to check with Ron, or keep asking on forums, for details of which do fit without modification, fit with minor modification, or don't fit.

Have you had any of these on a S2 with an Avanti Adam?
I was unaware that the Supertourer actually had an Avanti version, What's the difference, and did you get yours straight from Andy Francis?
Could you comment on what, in your opinion had the best spread of power throughout the range?

Hey up Bert. if you check the Andy francis website you'll see he has most exhausts and some are specifically for Avanti's and some Avanti's are specifically for S1 and S2s'..... he doesn't list the Avanti tourer or the Race but they are available.
Out of interest what was Ducksta referring to about QMT ?

In response to the previous question... Ron Moss Super Clubman gave the best spread of power but it was too loud for everyday use (louder than the neighbours cared for at 6:15!), the JL3 is what I used to go Avignon and back... giving a good spread of power and really pulling the gearing to give a good top end if I held it, the JL4 returns EXCELLENT performance but they always seem to crack on the funny twist of downpipe, the Franspeed Tourer fits well and give good mid to top end power but does lose out to the JL3 at lower revs... to the point that I fitted an Agusto to claim back the bottom end (this is what I've been using since Shipston last year). I didn't like the Micron on it.
