has anyone been having problems with DVLA?
Ive been told I havent declared a bike SORN and they want to fine me £100 but I did it on line, even sent them a copy of the webpage that shows it but apparently that isnt enough evidence because I didnt receive acknowledgement by post!

I had that about 3 years ago when i was re-building a scooter.
Did it on line and kept the confirmation e-mail.
Then got a FINAL WARNING in big red letters saying the tax hadn't been paid.
I sent an e-mail and got no reply.
Luckily the scooter was almost finished so i just got it MOT'd and taxed the fooker.

Bit daft though eh?

I had a "fine" letter from DVLA over Christmas advising me that one of my cars was untaxed despite it showing a correctly issued in-date tax disc.

I sent them a copy of the tax disc together with a stroppy letter and they admited it was their fault.

I've subsequently sent them an invoice payable within 14 days for my time trouble and sundry expenses totalling £62.00

I'll let you know.........

As you may be aware, they are stopping the issue of tax discs soon. I would therefore strongly recommend that you keep copies of all stuff done on-line

I think the best thing to do with the DVLA is not to deal with them on emails and go back to good old paperwork, the reason i say this is because i've just had a nightmare getting into my emails, thought i was never going to.

Changing the password was one of the problems, outlook kept giving time out and i then had to wait 24hours before i could have another go, mind you if it did get hacked they would only find racist and rude jokes on it.
