I haven't got a clue what I am supposed to be looking at. I guess it's some sort of metering system for the fuel. Can you expand a little?

Looks like a lambretta with electronic fuel injection instead of a carb. Interesting stuff.......wonder if something like this will ever come to market and what benefits will it bring?

This is absolutely the way to go IMO.
There will be great benefits in performance and economy as the maps develop. I dropped Megasquirt in preference for a smaller more compact ECU because mega squirt was big and expensive and had other technical problems to do with packaging and controls. Either way, the key in all of this EFi development is producing stable power which just is not possible with flywheel magneto, you really need a generator.

This is the injection controller:

I believe the ignition is Zeeltronic based, available in 100w AC/DC and 180w DC.
MMW are more known for their CNC products for Lambretta and Vespa supplied by the likes of LTH, Scooter Center, SIP and Jockeys Boxenstop. These include the CNC master cylinders, antidive brakes, the LTH manifold amongst others.
Harald will be riding his Series 2 to Eurolambretta this year, so it'll be interesting to say the least.

Is this because of the constant up and down voltage and power that a magneto suffers from? I'm guessing it would play the ECU up?

I guess this is why MMW developed the ignition too.
It's good to see there are some great minds working on this

Do you know what price point you're aiming for Rich?
