Looking for some ball park pointers for a 30mm VHB on an Avanti 225 standard tune JL3/Supertourer. Probably going to run it open mouthed.
Current details are:
Slide - 7454.50
Needle - V3
Main - 122 (I think...not very clear )
Choke - 70
Pilot - 55
Atomiser - 265N
The needle jet seems to be fixed?
Cheers
Colin

As an update, I gave it a good clean a and notice that it is marked a VHB30 AS and has a 14g float, anyone know if this a 2 or 4 stroke version? What are the differences?

VHB = 1970's old school carb of choice, solid mount square slide down draught.corrado wrote:VHB whassat? VHS series comes in B, C, H & T. I though Ron originally set up the Avanti with a VHSH 30CS ???
Hi Colin, it is a 2 stroke.

You need to check that the needle is in good condition & the slide, New V3 needles are rare & make sure they are the right length. the above is a good point to start. If you get stuck you will have to bring it over. That is when it stops raining, so I'll see you in a couple of years time then.
If the carb is in good condition they work well.

Just helped me big time
Those slides are bloody expensive..... if you can find one. The V3 needle is on ebay at the moment.

Nice although the embelishers don't do it for me personally, are you going for open mouthed with a hole in the panel?siobhanellis wrote:Hey, no worries. Parts all ordered and I should be good to go! yay!
