Drill out the rivet. Remove the flap and it just pulls out. (At least mine did this afternoon.)

You need the key in to be able to pull the lock.
You will have to drill it out, doesn't take long.

I have a key but it isn't the right one, do you reckon that would do with a load of WD40 ? It's seems pretty solid to be honest.

The key needs to turn to extract the lock.

Once you have removed the cap Use a drift that fits over the lock (outer ring housing not the inner lock plug)..give it a good belt or two with a hammer, this should break or bend the retaining pin on the back of the lock and it should just pop out...Replace lock or have keys made to your original lock (damaged pin can be replaced) ;)

Drilling the lock out could get messy

Good luck

My rally steering lock code was 6 digits starting with a 5. Hope that helps.
