routine end of the season stripdown reveiled what i thought were relatively innocuous nip ups have completely destroyed my just finished running in piston, that was 62.6 and i seem very near the end of oversizes, the last piston was a vertex but a 3 ring one, has anyone had experience of diamond 2 ring pistons as sold by scooter restorations, or indeed know a source of quality pistons for use with a 116mm rod, oh and while we are on the subject would an SR alloy finned barrel work with a TV rod?

Hi,

The Suzuki TS185 piston has a similar crown height to the TV piston. You probably need a 1.0mm base gasket or thereabouts. It has higher quality rings. It starts at 64mm (=186cc) with many over sizes.

You should still have oversizes left at 62.8mm and maybe 63.00mm in standard pistons.

No experience with Diamond sorry.

Yes the SR ally barrel (62mm or 64mm) will work with the above options.
