I've got an old T5 cylinder that has been seized and now has damaged plating. Can it be rebored, replated, and a bigger piston used or just replated and use a standard piston.

you could bore it out, replate it or steel line it and use a suzuki TS185 piston

This sounds just the job, if I remember correctly Mark Broadhurst used to offer something similar in the late 80's. The next question is would it work with a box exhaust and up jetted carb?

MB still does them equally chiselspeed or JB Tuning would do it.

or as already said take a polini barrel and bore it again use a TS185 piston

good luck

you will need to rework the head if you use a ts185 piston
