i bought my disk brakes about a year ago and i thought all was well, but for the life of me i cant get a) any info on setting the brake light up and b) i either get the brake going off when i press it or nothing but the rear brake working.
i wired one to the brown in the headset and the other to the black at the end near the rear light. I am postive it worked once upon a time
any ideas on where i am going wrong
my rear one is fine.

The black at the rear is the tail light not brake light. Normally the front brake light switch would be in parallel with the rear one, ie the two wires from the front switch should connect direct to the two on the rear switch. But if you are running electronic it will work as you have it but with the wire at the rear connected to the pink of the tail light.

yeah, keep one side connected to the brown, and connect the other to the bulb side [usually pink] at the rear brake pedal switch

Yes, it will be the red.
Is this the original Indian loom? If it is then you may also have front brake light wires (pink and grey) already fitted under the horncast. Check the rear brake switch for 4 wires.
