fuel tap ?

Hi all hopefully someone has solved this problem before I start my winter project of fitting a fibre rear Lambretta body, want to be able to lift the body (swivel up and back ) but obviously the petrol tap/lever on the lammie is in the wrong place.
Anyone solved this with a full body kit ? I found the quick release fuel line coupler which would work under the seat to make it possible to lift the body but still stuck on how to switch the fuel on and off .
cheers in advance all you clever , inventive Lambretta people
Rich

Electric operated solenoid in line with fuel pipe.......no reserve but use a tank level gauge

Late seventies, early eighties big guzzis - Spadas, Converts maybe G5's had a solenoid operated tap. Mine has one, but I can't remember if it was original.
The thread is 16mm I think, they are quite long though. Simple electrical supply, ign live and separate earth.
Later fuel injected bikes had a different one, priced about £100 - its not the one I meant, but would maybe do.
Maybe there is something off a car, like Mick said.

just had a vacuum fuel inline pump valve arrive today , looks on the small side but will check it out and let you all know if it works ok . So long as the inlet-outlet bore is large enough should work with a vacuum hose to the inlet manifold .
thanks all
