tillotson carb info

hi guys has anyody used a tillotson carb on a px any info pics etc appreciated.

the only time ive seen them used was when the GT 186 lammy kit came out, it was originally gonna use this, and a lammy chop had one on I remember, PX wise, havnt seen anyone using them.

Thought i saw one on a PX project some one was doing on here a while ago (maybe a year ago ?).

Seem to think they're big in the Go-Kart world.

i think that american vespa chopper that was on the front of scootering about 4-5 years ago had one on it, was about 14ft long and black?

that was my project it was the pinasco one that martin at chislespeed had a right problem with pinasco got involved got it sorted but you dont see the kit on sale think they pulled it

From what i recall of the Tillotson is that the jetting is none existent (you have variable adjusters on the "jets"..... the downside is you sometimes can't get the right spread of adjustment. I can't see why one wouldn't work on a PX but to set the carb you'll need to select the correct exhaust, compression, etc for it's "jetting" rather than adjust the the jetting to suit the exhaust, etc. TBH can't see any real benefit over a decent Dellorto or Mikuni and the like.
