Is there a 58mm stroke crank readily available for a large block PX or does anyone know who can build one (rough guide price?).

Thanks

Not that I know. What do you need it for?

Considering a Lambretta cylinder on PX casings and was trying to match the Lambretta crank/stroke. Probably not critical but looking at options.

Too much hassle, plus spares/replacements might be an issue.......going with an "off-the-shelf" 60mm

It's looking like a 60mm stroke Avanti 225 (get the kit tomorrow) on PX casings

Still to be decided:

Exhaust
Electrics
Clutch
Gearing
.....and whether to mount carb on barrel or casing ?

It'll be a QMT build

QMT are building 2 other Avanti kits as well (Lambrettas) so don't know when the Vespa will get built.

P2 crank is 57mm stroke standard. why not just get a Quattrini or a polini alloy 220? if I was doing a daft barrel conversion, I"d be using T5 casings , as they are "square", as opposed to having the barrel on the p155 like a P2. nice fat crank webs and big ports in the casing. the quattrini 172 on px125 casings looks like the better option. unless you wanna do it for the craic .

I've about 1/2 a dozen p2 casings so that's why i'm heading in that direction. I've had an Avanti on my lambretta for about 2 years and really impressed, thought it would be nice to see if it could be replicated on the P2. Loads of P2 engine bits as well........but the craic plays a large part :D
