Did this one as well but ran out of time and just the one run, not been on the road yet so needs jetting hence the glitch.
Road tune, JL pipe, reed, vespatronic, blank head milled by Martin Cook with centre plug and toroidal shape which we've not done before.
Standard Asso piston with dykes.
Barrel worked and no welding.

Silly hobby but I'm just working on nipped up barrels I get off Ebay for a tenner.
Malossi 166 nearly finished but I want to do a Polini over winter, if someone has one to donate it would be appreciated, or any other scrap cylinder also.

Wow... that's nice...
where does most of the work go into...head maybe ??
I friend has been getting work done on his smallframe polini iron barrel and since he's had some mods done the cylinder he's gained a good couple of horses!! and apparently not just skimming but squish varients applied ???

Another amazing result!
What is it like to ride? Have you changed the gearing to make best use of all those extra revs?
Is the port layout still as standard Pinasco, bigger obviously, or have you carved additional ports into the barrel and casing?
What carb and exhaust?

Thanks SF.
It's a fun ride, mirrors the graph of my Malossi and with slightly more tq and hp through the range and needs a little practice to feed it in. That said with the Clubman I use (haven't tried it yet on this) for road it will calm it down for an easy ride to prob just over 30 at peak, although I rarely go over 40 mph.:)
If used and pushed hard regularly I would make steel rings; yes lots of porting to the barrel for the result but no welding.
