Small one looks like a copy of the CNC one that LTH originally did, fits with very little modification, large one on the other hand needs quite a lot of cylinder fins removing.a.j wrote:Cheers. Scootrs look ok pricewise, but small or large?
What's the difference between using a small or large one?

Using the small one on my Muggy 225 with Harry Barlow TS1 piston and no other mods to barrel or piston. Seems to work well with 26mm PHBH. Had issues with frame clearance and had to remove some material from the base of the manifold but that may be Mugello related. From memory there's no size options on the reeds or sizes with the Scootrs one whereas the LTH ones come suited to different carbs and different qualities of reeds.
Scootrs one is much cheaper though.

So how does this affect things? I mean, why go to all the trouble of trimming down fins when you can just buy a smaller one?
