Hi guys, i'm wondering if it's possible to convert the lighting on a 6v points system to 12v using a BGM regulator? I understand it can be done with a different type of reg' but i'm wondering if the BGM one is 12v only. Thank you.

You can pretty much use any 12v regulator. Assuming you are converting a standard 6 pole 6v AC stator, just common all of your lighting wires to one port on the 12v reg and feed the loom off the other port.
Now it's not a very clean way to do this but it will work. There's lots of people who have done this and it's even listed on some shop sites as a how to.

Yeah, a 12v reg is a 12v reg, and should be possible with any 6v stator.
