Just hooking up the gear selector cables and arm on my LI series 3 restomod . With the gearbox in neutral when I fit the gear arm the gear arm bracket is at the limit of its range and hitting the casing as per the attached photo
When I rebuilt the box I thought I had followed the advice in stickies regarding positioning the gear selector arm but maybe I stuffed it up??
As it the later type shaft with integral gear arm then looking at stripping the box again if that's the case.

Hard to tell but it looks like your cable linkage is turned around. That will cause shifting problems for sure.

the selector arm on rear hub should be parallel with th caseing bolt in front of it and turn the swivel around so the bit at the front is connected to the selecter rod

Your gear change swivel is fitted the wrong way around.

Thanks guys. Feel like a complete numpty firstly for putting it on the wrong way round and secondly for not spotting it. Doh ! Very happy not to be having to tear it apart just when I'm finally getting close to finishing it !
