having clutch trouble again.

ok I was either getting clutch drag or clutch slip ( at high rpm / speed ) and couldn't get a happy medium. I put in a set of bgm plates and MB uprated springs and this seemed to sort it for a while but started slipping again when warm if I hammered it. Ive also got some of the thinner 1mm steels and a thinner top plate. If I use a couple of the thinner steels and thinner top plate I reckon I can get another plate in there (5) and still have the required amount of free play when compressed but I would need to bend the ears of the top plate so as they sit in the slots of the crown wheel. Would it be ok to do this ?
thanks , Baz.
ps I don't have a lot of cash at the minute so im trying to sort it without splashing out on cassette type clutch or similar , I have a gt 190 kit that has had some work done on it , 30 mm delly an franspeed race pipe so would have thought a uprated 4 plate set up would be up to the job.
