Help......Tv1 carb now fitted with new jets and atomizer, gaskets etc. refitted and set up, rode really well just a bit slower (5-10mph) but pulled ok, bit of adjustment and tried again and when accelerating in third lose power, almost felt starved of fuel, put set up back and now starts but struggling to tick over on full throttle, any ideas what is wrong?

Pulled plug out small amount of oil on edge, blown ring?

I have clean the carb and tank a number of times, fitted all new jets etc, no air leaks, but up to know had a starting problem which seemed to have been solved by the carb overhaul, do you think this could simply be a blocked carb jet then, only happens in third and forth,

only wondered about the ring because of the spot of oil on the spark plug, but really good compression so just guessing now.

Weren't those carbs notorious for flooding?

Its the 23mm original carb, going to strip it again, check its clean and reset needle down one notch, i lifted it because of the difficulty stating it, seemed dry when set on centre notch

That's the one. Notorious for flooding and being difficult to start if I remember. That's why they went back to a 21mm for late S2's.

May try swopping it with a 21mm to see what happens, thanks for the note

Re cleaned carb and fuel line, clean petrol, fires up great from cold runs really well, tick over great but now wont start when warm. If i finally get it going it seems flooded.

Have already changed the condensor, should i be thinking air leak somewhere?
