Does anyone know exactly how much has to be machined off a standard SIL long fin flywheel to make it the same height as the standard flywheel (and therefore be able to fit a standard cowling).

Cheers, John

a standard flywheel is 62.5mm from front of fin to back of rotor. Measure your long fin in the same way and "do the math"

For anyone else thinking of doing this, my SIL long fin flywheel measured 69mm. This means machining off 6.5mm to come to Chris's 62.5mm standard flywheel.

(See, I did manage the math Chris  )
