Hi all another quick question on reed valves. What are the symptoms of the reeds starting to fail. My imola having run brilliantly is starting to run like a bag of nails. Starts first kick. Timing all strobed with Augusto fitted. It just hasn't got the va va vroom or oomph and power it had. I am changing the rings next week hoping they could be worn. Cheers all.

You may notice an increase in spit back at the carb mouth (if running unfiltered) as there should be virtually no spit back with reeds.

Cheers boys. I've hot none of that so I am thinking it may either be the head has loosened off or the rings need replacing. I haven't got a lot of compression when kick starting do I'm airing more to that side. Hopefully.
