Whereabouts in the Midlands? If you're anywhere near Doncaster I'd go for MB (Serious Outdoor) or further south maybe CS Engineering in Norwich (did a fantastic job on my Indian case last year). Price will defend on the amount of welding required, some Spanish cases need less due to having a more generous amount of ally around the throat area to begin with. Indian and Italian castings apparently usually contain a fair amount of impurities and air pockets which can take longer to do and hence push the price up. Mine cost around £200 but that included repairs to a few threads and a LOT of 'chasing air pockets'.

Dan quoted a figure of £150 when i mentioned this to him recently, but i agree some may be more than others.

There's Oil Tek as well. I only know that because I followed a link in the Products and Innovations section. There's a video of them preparing a casing too. Don't know much about them. Except they seem to be racers. Looked good to me.

We're not racers Doom Patrol, but we do sponsor Chiselspeed Team and RGC Team in France, both using Maxima Oil.
We do the conversion, as you rightly say, it's on our website. Price averages out around £140/150 and that includes vapour blasting your casing.

MB do the best I've seen, you'd struggle to see it's been done, the finishing on the outside of the welding is that good!
